Send some cold weather

Just thought you might like to know that here in Adelaide in South Australia we are sweltering through a heat wave! Since Monday the daytime temperatures have been above 40degreesC. Yesterday it was 45.1 which is 113.2F and tomorrow we are expecting 46 equal to about 115F. We could do with some of your ice and snow.

Saw some pictures from the tennis. Brutal conditions! Hope you get some relief soon.

Sending you some snow....

Have experienced that kind of heat. Less intense if not combined with high humidity, but hot, hot, hot no matter what.

Was 113• one summer in Southern California. Nearly fried my brains walking across the parking lot to the next building where there was a soda machine.

Particularly remember a summer when we were in Georgia and it was 108• and over 90% humidity. Drove back to Texas and it was "only" 105• and 50/60% humidity. Felt ever so much cooler. ;)

Hope you get some relief soon.

Canberra is not as bad as Adelaide but it was still 40 degrees today and more hot weather to come. Some rain would be real nice :)

Thanks for the snow Sewbern, just looking at that pic helps cool me down. We had a thunderstorm yesterday afternoon that sparked a few bushfires around the state but fortunately the clouds let go of some rain as well. Put out the fires but raised the humidity to 92 percent. Whew Saturday will only be 28C can't wait.
Don't know how those tennis players survive!!!!

Woke up to this this morning! When I went to bed last night the circle driveway, the deck rails and my car were clear. I think I am going to be staying in today! I really need to go to town but We just moved to Michigan over the weekend and I am not familiar with the area and the roads so I'm not going to venture out. It is still snowing and probably will be the rest of the day. Send me some heat, I'll send you some coldness!!!

I'd be happy to share some of this Iowa weather if I could!

Oh, I do remember waiting for a "cool change"! Back in the 1960's we rented brick houses in Melbourne (affordable) which were fine for a couple of days, but when those bricks heated up ... ? Took days to cool down. Remember bus ride to doctor at 114 deg in last week of pregnancy! A/C in the bus? No way! Nor in our houses! I'd like you to take some of this damp fog we've had hanging around all day for days at a time!
