Sewing room tidy up

I have just completed one of my New Year's resolutions. I have completely cleaned and tidied my sewing room doing a full inventory as I went. We planned my sewing room into the house that we built 12 years ago and I am so happy with it although it seems to have shrunk somewhat due to an increase in sewing machines. I have always had my Gran's old pine kitchen dress in my sewing room, but I have moved it out into the entrance hall to give me more work space at my multi needle machine. I am fortunate to have a walk in storage for fabric and thread.

This is my Gran's old pine Kitchen dresser. I use it to display my sewing memorabilia collection and quilting books.

Bravo! Bet you feel great about that. Your room is really organized and tidy. I like that you have contained the little clutter that is part-and-parcel of our hobby. Are those chairs comfortable? They look like they would be. I need new one, which is why I ask. I like how your 3-tiered cart fits perfectly under that unit where you have a medium size cutting mat. Now that you've taken pictures, it's time to create a new mess--I mean, a new quilt!

What a special sewing room! Love the connection of the pine hutch to your Gran that holds your treasures. Your room is so organized and tidy. You must have a blast stitching in there.

Yes, it is my piece of heaven, unfortunately it is not always this tidy. the secret is to put away after one project before starting another....but.....that is not always the case, some times there are 6 projects on the go and then you can't find the scissors!!!

I do find these chairs really comfortable and they are 12 years old now and have stood up really well. I purchased them from an office supply warehouse. I have a cutting table on castors that has fold up or down sides.
