Elena Olivia (pronounced "Elaina")
March 26 @ 3:23pm
7 lbs, 12 oz
21 inches long

I've been out of town for the birth of our granddaughter and we're thankful for a healthy baby.

The camera doesn't show the blue overcast of her brownish eyes and her pediatrician said they may not turn completely brown but keep some bluish to them even though brown is the predominant color. I don't care if her eyes are orange with blue polka dots and pink stripes, she's ours and she's the most wonderful baby! I'm sure missing those sweet nuzzles and soft baby feel!

I was already a grandmother the whole nine months this baby was carried but being there when she was born and seeing the child of my child...ahhhhhhh, grandmother mush kicked in... :)

Home from hospital with our daughter.

I know the feeling about daughters and their children. It just validates our own love for them. I see it every week when I take care of my grandson. Last night we were practicing self soothing when he was trying to go down for the night. My daughter just grit her teeth and let him cry. I was so proud of her. He did calm down and slept all night.
