Yes, my darling little girl is home from church camp. When we got there today she was in the Tabernacle. We went into the dorm and she was all packed and ready to go as was the other girl we took. Just as we were finished loading everything into the car Tabernacle let out and she saw us. She ran all the way! So did Gabby. The had already "unbanked" their left over spending money so we just signed them out and were on our way! If feels so good to have her back! She's been resting on her bed since she got home and not really spending time with us but that's okay, she's where she's supposed to be.

btw, she said she had a super great time.

kwiltkrazy 07-09-2010 12:27 PM

Glad she had a good time. Enjoy her for the rest of the summer.

I'm just picking on her because she can take it and she can dish it right back at ya! I wish she was my neighbor.....in fact I wouldn't mind having ***SOME*** of you as my neighbors.

The worse one is the skull and crossbones on her forehead. Other than that I don't really see anything wrong with 11 yr olds getting a large tramp stamp, do you? LOL I'd better stop before I get a Heavenly smack down. LOL

She's really tired. I asked if she wanted to go with me to a couple of garage sales and she said, "No, I just want to stay home. You go ahead and go, I'll stay here with daddy." I didn't go either.

annette1952 07-09-2010 04:28 PM

nursie76 07-09-2010 04:29 PM

So glad you all made it through and that she had a good time.

Pam 07-09-2010 04:30 PM

Awww, bless her heart, she had a big week, glad she had a great time.

raptureready 07-09-2010 04:34 PM

I'm going to what someone called "Mom Camp" a week from Sunday. Can you say "quilting retreat"? I'll only be gone for 3 days, 2 nights.

That was me! I am hoping that I can make the next one, we could be roomies!

franie 07-09-2010 04:55 PM

Oh she sounds adorable. I bet she had a good time but glad to be back home.

littlehud 07-09-2010 07:00 PM

The house always feels complete when everyone is home.

lab fairy 07-09-2010 08:15 PM

Why am I always the one thrilled to shove mine back out the door? Then I get my sewing area back, my routine back, less laundry, fewer groceries... (I married both my kids off last fall and now they come back x2! That's a double whammy!)

They will soon be coming back with kiddies of their own and all of THAT paraphenalia.

lab fairy 07-09-2010 09:15 PM

Please, NO NO NO NO. No next generation (or the F3's as we call them). Its bad enough when they bring dogs and cats. Seriously, I love them but just lived through a tough visit. (I do have to admit that my house is cleaner than it has been in a while.) I'm not ready to contemplate anything more. How does my mother do this. She has people staying with her or traveling all the time. I hate it. I like my little insular world that I hope someday to have some control over.

raptureready 07-10-2010 03:31 AM

She fell asleep on the couch last night so soundly that I couldn't get her up. I'm not sure she slept well while she was there. I tried 2x to wake her after that I just let her sleep.

barnbum 07-10-2010 04:00 AM

It must be great to have her home.

I have an entire upstairs for my sewing room unless the step kids come to visit but that's only about 2 or 3 times a year.
DD, Dh and I pretty much live downstairs. Those kids are grown, take them with you when you grocery shop and split the bill, as far as the laundry let them do it. When we used to go home mom sat, we did what needed to be done. Daddy wouldn't have allowed anything else. And when we left, the laundry was done, including the sheets, the floors were swept, the dishes done, and anything else that needed doing was done. That way mom could rest and recuperate from our visit. LOL Mom had health problems.

lab fairy 07-10-2010 10:33 AM

I guess that my kids still think of me as invincible. I'm 47 so I'm not in the grave by any means. I still get men trying to ask me out at stores, gas stations, libraries, ... My kids think it is hysterical when I gently explain to these young men that I'm older than they think. I actually think this last time it was the SIL's family driving me over the edge. I'm thinking of getting new phone numbers, moving to another location, going off the grid, anywhere so they can't find me.

raptureready 07-11-2010 12:06 AM

Can you imagine some of us living close to each other??!?!?!? We'd be going to the fabric stores together, quilting together all the time. Our families would think we left them. LOL

Maksi 07-11-2010 12:14 AM

I would love to live close to each other.
Glad you daughter is home. My house feels incomplete when my kids are not here.
