I agree with donating to schools. Ours are always looking for supplies.

Do you have women's shelters there? I don't know what the equivalent is for Goodwill, etc. over in Jordan. It may take some figuring out, but the recipients will appreciate it.

What about Churches? Some of them here have storage space where they collect items to give to fire victims and other folks like that. And in every country in the world there are areas where the poor and homeless collect..in those areas there should be charity shops...but I really feel that Churches are the best ones to check with.

Nursing homes here can always use clothes and art or sewing supplies.

How you get rid of stuff also depends on

Do you want to get some money for some of your items?

Do you want to give it away for free?

Jordan is sure a long way from the United States!! If you are just looking to give it away talk to some Church leaders there and to see if they will accept, or even see what organizations the U.S. may have there who will accept. My second thought is aren't there some type of open markets around there where people may sell their items they no longer want? My best advice would be to ask some one there in Jordan what they do!!

Garage sale is not very much common here.
Any bright ideas friends?

eBay has international sellers. Go to www.ebay.com Click on "Site Map" in blue letters at the bottom fo the page. When the Site Map page appears, move the page down until you see the "Help Topics" section on the right side, click on "A-Z Index." When that page appears, you'll see the alphabet printed in English. Click on the letter "I," then find "International Selling." The page that appears has topics that will tell you how to sell on eBay.
