Are your kid(s) into these? My daughter is and she swaps with her friends at school, this is what she has so far. I personally don't get them.

What is it? :?:
Are they like rubber bands?

I think they are made from silicone and you can stretch them and it'll bounce back to it's shape.

new one on me!
yep they sure are.. the boys too
I got some last year for fun no reason gifts for everybody. They still work as a regular rubber band, just a little more fun than the plain ones.
I've seen these in stores, but I don't get it either...out here we're always the last to jump on these bandwagons.....but I can see the appeal to collecting them...
yes- latest craze here- pretty darn expensive too. I won't buy them.
I've seen them at the fabric store ( of all places ) They looked silly to me.
I guess my daughter must be too old.
My youngest DD is 14 and loves these things. She is a freshman in high school and they are wildly popular here. My granddaughter is 4 and want some too. She loves to immitate her aunty.
I see there are some on ebay. Just use the word sillybandz in the searchfield.
They are all the rage here too. my students love them.
Never even seen those things!
haven't seen them
Didn't hear of them either but they sell them at the Learning Express.
update - some schools are starting to ban these.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/time/2010052...08599199179700 Students fiddle with them during class and arrange swaps - trading, say, a bracelet with a mermaid for one with a dragon - when they should be concentrating on schoolwork, teachers say. Sometimes a trade goes bad - kids get buyer's remorse too - and hard feelings, maybe even scuffles, ensue. |
