Can anyone tell me anything about this Singer tin. I got it at a garage sale some years back. Kind of cute. Sorry for the huge pictures.

I don't know anything about it but it is a great looking tin. What ones the bottom look like?

I, too, know nothing about it, but it's very cute! I'm a sucker for tins.

All I found out was that they were made for Singer by Bristol Ware.

I have one just like that I bought new in the early 80s. There's no maker's mark or stamp on the bottom.

Joann's sold Singer tins years ago. They came in different styles and sizes.

I purchased a tin very similar to this about 30 years ago.I think I got it from a catalog. It has a label on the bottom that says Bristol Ware, trade mark of Singer Sewing Co. made in Taiwan.

You might want to post in the Vintage and Antique Machines and see if anyone there knows more.

I wonder if the tin originally came with some Singer accessories inside, or if they were sold just as empty tins.

The age is about right - somewhere in the 80s. I also have one - it came empty and not with any other Singer purchase. I don't remember where I got it though. This one looks a little used and is definitely not in the vintage age - but it's cute and useful.
