pick it up like she said behind the head and toss his butt out. even if he bites you he will release as soon as he knows you are not food. I've been tagged aka bit a doz times at least and it it not as bad as the scare! lol if it's not poisonous, not a big deal

When snakes got too numerous, my Grandma would let a pig and some chickens roam around the yard. You could always see when the chickens were following a snake, they would walk slowly along with their heads cocked to one side, watching the snake slither along. I think the pigs killed and ate them, might be the fat protects them from the snake venom.

A few years ago I had a snake in the laundry/storage room, I was home by myself and went to put the next load in and there he was coming towards me  I freaked, got my cell phone and called both hubby and son at work, hubby made it home first and started moving things around couldn't find the snake, so he goes outside to move the truck up to the back door so we could take things out of the room, I was in the front part of the house decided to go back and see if I could spot the snake, start down the hall and there it was coming towards me again  call hubby's cell he doesn't answer, so I go out and tell him I seen it again, he comes in and we move the wooden toy box that was at the end of the hall and there he is,now a DEAD snake

If all else fails and you can't move, get yourself a wonderful cocker spaniel! Nothing can move without that cocker knowing!!!

I had one in the bathroom one time. At least I am not afraid of them but still did not want one in the house. I usually let them live but had one in the barn once that used to lay on the rafters above me. Killed it -it measured 3 ft long and 6" around. Yuck.

Okay, this has stopped all my fantasies of living anywhere near countryside or in a converted barn...

I would be in a total panic if I saw a snake in my house. I have a total fear of snakes--it doesn't matter what kind or what size...I am afraid the whole neighborhood would know and someone would call the police.

I am fine with the spider, I can use a fly swatter and squash that little bugger.
