Snow Again in Texas

Can't believe we are getting snow for a second day in a row in Dallas, TX. Ready for spring....hope it will get me in the sewing mood!

Stay warm and thanks for letting me share.

Sandra in Minnesota 02-07-2014 04:06 PM

If you need more snow, we can shovel some your way. lol

Crqltr 02-07-2014 04:19 PM

I would gladly share also!!

GrammaNan 02-07-2014 04:23 PM

Free snow, U-Haul!

dakotamaid 02-07-2014 04:57 PM

My sis who lives near Austin has complained all winter about the weather!! And she is from ND. (as am I.) I told her a little bit of snow never hurt anyone or their horses!! LOL! :)

mandyrose 02-07-2014 05:00 PM

with the way your weather is it will warm up quick the snow will probably be gone in a week, I don't think that's going to happen here anytime soon, we are still in the 20's for another 2 weeks

sewmom 02-07-2014 05:52 PM

my son lives in Flower Mound and worked from home today. he likes the snow and knows how to drive in it. being from Michigan, it's like a treat! haha

I make a motion for Spring, anyone second that?

happylab 02-07-2014 06:45 PM

I second that. We just received 9 1/2" earlier this week. It has been near 0 ever since. We haven't warmed up like we usually do after a snow. The weather man says it will be cold for another week or more. I don't like the ground hog's forecast. Only 5 more weeks of winter to go. Yes I'm counting the days.

DACO48 02-07-2014 08:23 PM

I don't know about the rest of you but I am sure tired of shoveling this "Global Warming" 17 degrees below 0 this morning at the old homestead.

sewmom 02-08-2014 05:17 AM

Can I vote more than once for spring?

PurplePassion 02-08-2014 05:20 AM

We should appreciate the extra moisture for this summer. But I could do without the freezing temps.

grannie cheechee 02-08-2014 05:56 AM

I'm in FL., and complaining about the temps., and cold rain. We have 70's for a couple of days, and then wham we get hit with the 40's for a high. Maybe its my fault we got the lower temps back. I called my brothers in IA., CO., and CA. to tell them of our nice weather. LOL That will teach me. I do feel sorry for the people having so much snow and very cold weather. My bones can't take the cold and snow anymore.

Please be sure you don't spill any as you pass Iowa. We have plenty, thank you!

There is an old saying, "If you don't like the weather in Texas, wait five minutes and it will change.". They say it will be in the high 50' in a few days.

That is a saying in St. Louis too.

barny 02-08-2014 07:13 PM

Well, I had to get out today. No coat! that's true. no kind of wrap. In Dallas. But, it can change in a second.

Cindy60545 02-09-2014 01:57 AM

We got some of it too out here. Just enough to coat everything nice & white, 2 days in a row. Then it warmed up yesterday to @ 42 degrees. Supposed to be in the mid-50's today, then another possible snow Monday night. I'm ready for Spring also, but let's not hurry Summer! It get's around 100 degrees then!

Dodie 02-09-2014 06:33 AM

Really it is a blessing just think of the people and places that need water and this will help fill lakes and streams no
snow and those things would soon dry up Calif. would love some of this

JanieH 02-09-2014 03:22 PM

My niece swears she's taking contributions for a hit on the groundhog and all we have is c-c-cold (for us) weather - can't imagine how you all must feel!

charhend 02-10-2014 02:43 PM

This is one of the coldest winters I can remember in Texas! Real tired of it!
