I remember that winter! I was in 8th grade. We had school only 9 days the entire month of January. It was an unforgetable winter. The snow was drifted so high that we could stand on the machine shed roof just by climbing up a drift. Then we got to sled down.................so much fun for kids!!!

Every state in the US had snow on the ground yesterday, except for Hawaii, according to this: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100213/...states_of_snow

Of course, that doesn't mean there's snow in every place in every state.

I also survived the blizzard of "78 in Mass. I sewed by turning the wheel of my machine by hand to finish the bridesmaid dress I was working on. It saved my sanity!!
My kids thought I was silly but daughter loved the dress.

I want some snow! If it's going to be this cold in Florida, then at least snow!

I will move there also. I been in Texas only 2 years the snow we get they having seen nothing like that in 30 years. My husband is ready hot weather he don't like the cold. So we might move to Jacksonville.

Hi,

I remember the blizzard of 1978! Wow that brings back memories! Yes, had snow tunnels on the road. My hubby was on the volunteer fire department at that time and he had a 4 x 4 truck and some guy died and they had to go pick up his body in the back of our truck since it had a topper on it.

so far we have about 4 inches and it is really tapered off - just a few lazy flakes coming down now and it's starting to melt - it's 38 degrees! it is sposed to freeze tonite....
