We love most British Comedy and Mr. Bean ranks right near the top.

julia58 02-01-2011 08:09 AM

I've never heard of Mr. Bean. Is there a certain show I need to watch to see him?

AlwaysQuilting 02-01-2011 08:11 AM

I love British comedy.
Monty Python
Mr Bean
Absolutely Fabulous
Fawlty Towers
There's one about a female minister...can't remember the name of it.
And more.
I watch them more than I watch American comedy.

Teacup 02-01-2011 08:20 AM

He's hilarious. The show was better than the movies. Some of his skits are standard jokes between my DH and me. If the old hymn with all the "alleujahs" is done in church (I think it is "All Creatures of Our God and King"), DH will start to sing the refrain like Mr. Bean, and I dissolve in giggles. Some people can't stand Mr. Bean, but we like British humor at our house.

My family likes Mr. BEan. When my kids, my sister and her kids were in church one Sunday, our dad leaned forward toward the boys and belted out Alleluia just like Mr Bean would. Boy was it hard to pray after that.

Quiltbeagle 02-01-2011 09:32 AM

I liked his old silent skits on HBO. When he brushed his teeth in his car while driving to work and sqirted windshield washer fluid in his mouth to rinse...LOL! I really didn't think his movies were all that funny, though I did like the one called "Keeping Mum" with Maggie Smith and Patrick Swayze.

Chasing Hawk 02-01-2011 09:59 AM

I am!!! So are my kids. :)

Along with Red Dwarf, Are you being served.

The Vicar of Dibley!

I also love "Waiting for God". The actress who plays Jane went to my old high school :-)

And BTW, Hugh Laurie (House) was also in Black Adder

Love Rowan Atkinson although I don't like his Mr. Bean stuff. My favorite is one of him in concert.

The Vicar of Dibley with Dawn French?

I haven't seen Mr. Bean. I'll have to see if it's online.
