Does any one here make their own soap. Do you know what books are good if you want to learn?? thanks

I've made the glycerine soaps. Go to the library and check out a few books. That's what I did. When I found one I liked I ordered it from Amazon.

I make cold process, liquid and cream soaps. There is an excellent forum that's to soapmaking what this board is to quilting. PM me if you'd like more information.

I make soap and found the library was the best place to start looking at books. You only need simple recipe to start with.
Be very careful when making soap as it does get Hot.
Terrific hobby and much better than store bought soap.

Our library didn't even have one book on soapmaking. I buy home made soap now from a lady that live about 100 miles from me, her soap is and smells so good. I think it would be fun to try making it myself, or help my daughter make it since she is also interested in all natural products.

Anyone know some good books to start with? I heard Anne Watson has some good books and I believe there is one out there for those just starting.

Look at Amazon. They usually have reviews. And sometimes you can find reasonably priced used books.
