Approx. how much fabric do I need to upholster a 7 foot sofa. The fabric is 10 feet wide.

I never heard of 10ft. wide fabric. As I remember, it is usually 42", 45" or 60" wide.

How much you need for your sofa depends on the areas to be covered. Does it have pillows, does it have a skirt, is the under cushion area covered in same fabric? You would have to sketch each area out on paper & include the measurements & then map all the pieces out to see how much yardage you would need for each needed piece.

Thanks for all your help. The fabric is really 10 feet wide the fabric is at the Galt Flea mkt in Galt, California. I forgot to mention that it is $10.00 per yard. An amazing find:)

10 feet wide is only 120 inches. I buy quilt backing that wide when I can find it.
