why are some entries deleted when clicked on...are they spam or just something not appropriate as decided by the admin. Just curious...some of the titles sound benign so I click on it and it has been deleted...........

valleyquiltermo 10-19-2011 08:04 AM

Yeah, I was also wondering the same??

Mamatron 10-19-2011 08:04 AM

Not sure but I have wondered about that too. I thought maybe the Original Poster changed their mind.

bluteddi 10-19-2011 08:05 AM

bascially , yes.. ur are right... some are off color, too political, to graphic or the poster did not meet the requiremnts to post/ or sale.

nwm50 10-19-2011 08:06 AM

Usually if you're not a "regular" it will get deleted Or if suject is improper or degrading also.

feffertim 10-19-2011 08:08 AM

or in violation of copyright laws

mom-6 10-19-2011 08:10 AM

Sometimes it will be deleted if it was double posted, or it may be moved to another section if it fits better there. I've had both of these happen to me.

gollytwo 10-19-2011 08:16 AM

Mine always get deleted except for my ISOs
I seem to have some rule infraction every time - never for political or distasteful reasons however.
Next time, I plan to run it past Patrice before I post.

Maia B 10-19-2011 08:21 AM

Double posts, unaurhorized ads, arguments emerged, copyright violations, politics,non-quilting stuff in the main section...lotsa reasons.

MamaQuilter 10-19-2011 08:22 AM

????

QuiltnNan 10-19-2011 08:26 AM

any violation of the forum rules may end up as a deletion. the reasons are much too varied for conjecture.

Jamiestitcher62 10-19-2011 08:28 AM

Always?????
I don't get where you're coming from on this ... you have started 42 threads, and only 3 are ISOs.

ditto to the multitude of reasons.
Generally, if you don't play by the rules a thread may go poof! And that could be any post from anyone on the thread, not just the originator.

If you have concerns, you really should direct it to a Moderator, for their response on the matter.

Now that's just plain not true unless you're trying to post something for sale in classifieds or asking for something for free. In both cases, 'regular' status must be current.

Hopefully, that's what NWM was referring to!

ITA ... my understanding has always been that the only time that Regular status is important is when you are posting in those sections.

so far everything said was correct, and i'm moving it to GCC because that's where it belongs
