Somedays I it just doesn't pay to get up

Have you ever had one of those days where you wonder why
you got out of bed? much less wake up to begin
with?

Well it is proving to be one of THOSE kind of days for me now.
Well everything started out just fine, cleaned the kitchen, took
a shower got dressed left to go to the store to do some shopping
(sadly not fabric or anything fun like that). Remembered that
I had not ate yet today so I decided to stop off at the little cafe
up the street from me, order a glass of ice tea, and small plate
of french fries.

Yvette (the server) brings my fries and the Heinz 57 sauce to
me (I like to dip the fries in it). As usual I "shake" the bottled
only to discover to late that the cap was NOT tight on the bottle
just "sitting" on it, Heinz 57 sauce went flying EVERY where mostly
on ME, hair, glasses, shirt, pants, INSIDE my shirt (that one mystifies
me). walls, table, everywhere but ON the fries go figure.

Yvette comes over with extra napkins, wet towels, and poor girl
is TRYING not to laugh helps me clean things up, but when she
was going to help me get it out of my hair she lost it and so did
I.

I proceeded to eat than came back home to take yet another shower
so I am calling that shower #3 in 90 minutes. I am almost afraid
to try to make it to the store now wondering what will happen next
LOL.

Just thought I would give y'all a laugh for today (at my expense).

Have a HAPPY (or better than mine) Tuesday.

That sounds like something that would happen to me. Sorry you're day got messed up but glad you took it with humor. Everyone is too serious these days.

Laughing with you NOT at you....LOL!! Everything happens for a reason and you & Yvette just needed to have a Good laugh together!!

Hope your day has gotten better and your trip to the store was unevenful.

yes, do hope your day is going so much better .... but I, for one, think Heinz 57 accents/perfume is perfect for shopping.

I did not want to get out of bed today because I knew I had a dentist appointment. Well $338 dollars later and my face is frozen and I wished I'd stayed in bed. Can you imagine the fun I could have had with $338 in the fabric store instead?:(

Well, at least that won't happen again, because you'll check the lid from now on!! Hopefully, the rest of the week will be better! At least you are clean! LOL

Thanks for brightening the day of a lot of people! How is the color red on you, anyhow? Today, if I am given lemons, I can remember, it could have been Heinz 57! Thank you so much.

Oh how funny! This happened to my husband with a ketchup bottle recently. He was in a really bad mood at the time too (work related), and as soon as it went flying (fortunately mostly on the table, but also got his face & hair pretty good) I just stopped and looked at him, waiting for the explosion. He just stared back at me and then burst out laughing! The absurdity of it all broke him out of his bad mood, and he still had to finish his work day smelling like a diner. Gotta love a guy who laughs at disaster!

PenniF 09-19-2012 11:31 AM

I must just say ... i don't have much sympathy for people who are having "one of those days"....
as i have recently come to believe that i'm having "one of those lifetimes" !!!!!!! ;)

ctipton 09-19-2012 01:25 PM

Well I guess i would just go home and get under the bed

I was having lunch at a Red Lobster place and when the waitress went to pour me a glass of water, the ice shifted and It came out in a gush and in my plate and lap. She was almost in tears, and I was laughing fit to be tied. Anyway I finally convinced the poor girl it was an accident and not her fault. They offered me a new plate of food, but since I had already eaten all I could, I just smiled and declined. Sometimes laughing at yourself is the only way to go. LOL...

It doesn't pay to get out of bed sometimes

Everyone has days like this. I remember..in sharp detail how I'd been primping for a hospital volunteer picture
we were planning. I was sitting at the luncheon table and feeling pretty sharp when the volunteer across from me opened a packet of mayonnaise and for whatever reason, it spurted across the table right on my freshly ironed pink smock!! And in an expression of horror, she jumped back, bringing her food tray onto HER lap and spreading her soup
all over herself. Then in trying to help her a neighbor tried to wipe it up with her napkin and dumped her own glass of
tea in HER lap...since we were too old to cry we decided to burst out laughing. We did go on to have our pictures taken, but we three elected to stand in the back rows!!!!! From the necks up we were perfectly groomed, with pretty smiles and all the damage hidden from the camera's view.

The other day I went thru the drive thru at McDonalds and ran over a ketchup packet and I got squirted!! as well as my car door and a few spots inside. I was shocked!
