The oddest thing happened to me today. I'm wearing tennis shoes to work, and around noon-ish, I was walking out by the parking lot when I felt something cold in my shoe. I thought a bug or something got into my shoe, which totally creeped me out. I took my shoe off, and there was an ice-cold penny! A co-worker was walking with me and thought the penny was in my shoe from this morning. I let her touch the penny so she could feel that it was really cold. If the coin had been in my shoe from this morning, it certainly would have been warm. I'm in Phoenix, and it's 115 degrees outside! Isn't that the oddest thing??? How did it get there? I can kind of understand the penny might have somehow worked itself into my shoe if I were wearing flats or sandals, but laced-up tennis shoes?

God said penny for your thoughts!

MzMcKee 08-24-2011 04:04 PM

Do you have a hole in your pocket? It could have worked its way down.

It bounced in there when someone dropped their change? Do-do-do-do!!! Maybe God put it there, getting married soon?

Dear Abby and Ann Landers used to publish column every so often about people finding pennies in odd places. Have you lost anyone close to you recently?

Monika 08-24-2011 05:39 PM

Nope, no hole in my pocket. I carry a wallet so there wouldn't be a reason for coins in my pockets. Besides, even if the penny had been in my pocket, it wouldn't be been ice cold. I mean, the penny was really cold --- like it had been in the refrigerator.

Not getting married soon. I don't think my husband would like that. He doesn't even allow me to date! LOL.

That is really funny, I've not heard that before. Really a cute answer.

FReaky cool. Yes I would save that penny. Makes you wonder about other realities, doesnt it. How long did it stay cold for?
