I can so relate. I was putting groceries away and couldn't find something I knew I bought, I kept looking around and found it in the freezer and the bag of frozen veggies in the pantry...what was I thinking? Fortunately, it was still frozen.

J Carol 07-30-2011 05:15 AM

I have those days!!! LOL

purrfectquilts 07-30-2011 05:18 AM

DianD 07-30-2011 05:22 AM

When my husband is having a bad day, sometimes he tells me, "I can't Brain today, I've got the Dumb!"

sewnsewer2 07-30-2011 05:31 AM

I've done that!

Owllady 07-30-2011 05:32 AM

Must have had quilting on your mind. Ha!!!!

smagruder 07-30-2011 05:40 AM

I have done that also. Ever tried to open a can of beans with the electric can opener..... not plugged in? Or toast bread without the toaster plugged in? Guilty of all three! lol

Nan Quilts 07-30-2011 06:08 AM

Been there, done that!!

fivepaws 07-30-2011 07:38 AM

Hey, at least it was plugged in. LOL

BobbiG 07-30-2011 08:19 AM

Don't things like that make you mad?

trolleystation 07-30-2011 08:30 AM

I have been known to put the water in and forget the coffee.

Guess I have a perpetual smile on my face, In a banquet I attempted to drink coffee out of an empty cup leaving people sitting ay my table wondering what I was drinking!

MargeD 07-30-2011 09:40 AM

Sounds like something I would do. Yesterday my DH turned the A/C off stating it was cooler outside. My room kept heating up, but I kept quiet, then just before dinner, he turned it on and he discovered that he had never opened the LR window. Guess the laugh was on him.

Carol Ann 07-30-2011 09:41 AM

Yes, you really needed that first cup of coffee.

Roberta 07-30-2011 11:01 AM

ROTF, must be catching because we did the same thing this morning

katcincinnati 07-30-2011 11:42 AM

Sounds like one of my GOOD days!!! LOL

vivoaks 07-30-2011 12:20 PM

Tussymussy 07-30-2011 12:41 PM

I was sat sitting here, laughing my socks off - well I would have if it was cool enough to wear some, when a light bulb went off in my brain!

Duh, who had put the iron on 3 hours ago?????? Nearly fell over in the rush to get to the ironing board...... phew! nothing burning. Then I remembered!!!! @*#" and other things! my irons turns itself off when it is left!

ROFL!! That's a good one.

I grabbed my bag of cumin and went and got the measuring spoons out of the drawer, then me and hubby spent 30 minutes looking for the cumin. I could have swore I bought some!

Hilarious. Imagine that. Human error. AGAIN LOL

Nanjun 07-30-2011 04:36 PM

Well one morning this week I forgot to put a filter in the basket and dumped coffee in. Had to dump that and start all over.
We do crazy things......such is life.

seasaw2mch 07-30-2011 05:29 PM

This is funny sort of because I just started doing things just like that so now my hubby thinks I'm getting Alzheimer. He just doesn't get it!
I'm always thinking about the newest quilt I'm planning or in the middle of, so all other things just don't matter! Someday he will figure it out that if it's not important, I just don't care to remember it. LOL Like the days of the week, I don't care what day it is as long as I don't have to meet up with someone or have an appointment going on so I just go as I please and don't worry about it.

marthe brault-hunt 07-30-2011 09:16 PM

No dear, the cup was empty, the coffee had not been served.

tntgranny 07-31-2011 05:10 AM

Couldn't figure out why the ceiling fan wouldn't go on to cool off the bedroom when the power was off. I keep pressing the button on the remote - the red light on it said the remote was working. Duh - the fan needed the electric, not just the battery powered remote.

mountain deb 07-31-2011 07:42 AM

I have done that, also turned it on and came back later only to find hot water, or did not turn it on, but everything else right. I am begining to think I should not get out of bed without the coffee.

stitchntimesewing 07-31-2011 08:27 AM

Awesome!   Been there done that!

Carol Ann 07-31-2011 09:42 AM

I get my coffee pot ready the night before. I leave my measuring cup next to the coffee pot so I know that I just have to push the button. LOL!!

sunflower sue 07-31-2011 10:33 AM

I hear you ! Have done the same thing, or have forgot to put the coffee in. You are not alone !

FERSID 08-01-2011 04:44 PM

Sometimes it's the tiny things that count! LOL

Not quite as bad as MY BAD - rinse out the coffee pot, add new ground coffee, fill reservoir with water, press the on button then go to do a small chore while the coffee brews with anticipation of a nicely brewed fresh cup of coffee -

Come back and find nice fresh brewed coffee all over the counter, down the wall and all over the floor - note to self - next time PUT THE COFFEE POT BACK IN THE MACHINE BEFORE PRESSING THE ON BUTTON !!!!!! :hunf: :hunf: :hunf: :hunf: :hunf:

patsyo5672 08-02-2011 06:17 AM

Been there done that

IBQUILTIN 08-02-2011 01:48 PM

Oh no!! what a mess! I've had mess like that when the stupid filter folds over.

katigirl 08-03-2011 11:57 PM

Sounds like you really needed that coffee.

pawebdoctor 08-04-2011 07:44 AM

I can relate!!!
I use filtered water... didn't have enough in the container. Poured what I had in the coffee maker, and while new water was filtering I poured the beans into the coffee maker. It seemed like I was putting in more than usual. After checking the level... I realized I was pouring the beans into the same place as the water. What a mess!!!

QBeth 08-05-2011 03:06 AM

Years ago, my room mate woke up, went into the kitchen, and found coffee all over the counter, down onto the floor. Her first thought was "oh no, the coffee pot melted!" Nope, she forgot to put the pot in place when she prepped her automated coffee maker the night before. :-)
