I just can't believe it.Bobbie was outside picking-up leaves. He watched his neighbor pull his car into his garage, pull the hose into the garage.Neighbor went over to Bobbie and thanked him for being such a good friend.
Bob got thinking,he walked over to the neighbor's garage, heard the car running,he ran around the neighborhood for help.Bobbie and another neighbor went into this guy's house and stopped him from killing himself. What a story isn't it?

Murphy 12-02-2010 08:25 AM

Bless him for helping a soul in need. Perhaps now he will get the help he needs.

LovingIzabella 12-02-2010 08:27 AM

Bobbie is a wonderful man and he was in the right place at the right time! It makes you wonder what his neighbor was going through...hopefully he can get the help he needs to see life is worth living.
Hugs
April

WOW! Bless him for saving the mans life. Unfortunately this time of year there are several people that really get depressed.

Connie in CO 12-02-2010 08:32 AM

Well looks like the neighbor was off his meds. He's Bi-polor?
My son-in-law works for the Sheridan Police Department and is trained to do this kind of thing, but he was off duty and doing his everday thing and wasn't in his police mode.

scoobertina 12-02-2010 08:33 AM

So sad that at this time of year people are so depressed that they try things like this.. and thank goodness Bobbie was a straight up thinker! Way to go Bobbie!

janRN 12-02-2010 08:38 AM

Bobbie is truly a hero. I think he's one of the Earth Angels-he was in that place at the right time for a reason. Depression is a horrible illness. Thank you and bless you, Bobbie.

Connie in CO 12-02-2010 08:43 AM

If he knew i was talking about him and being a hero,he would be all red faced and blushing

nativetexan 12-02-2010 08:47 AM

oh my goodness. Christmas time is hard for some. I'm glad he was there for his neighbor.

Connie in CO 12-02-2010 08:52 AM

I have only one son-in-law.I've known him since he was in his teens and before he was even dating my daughter.
I'm the only one who still calls him Bobbie.

quiltingfan 12-02-2010 08:55 AM

I think that shows what a close bond you have with him that you can call him Bobbie when nobody else does. You must be so proud.

One for the good guys! Thank God he was attentive to what was happening.
How is the neighbor?

CarrieAnne 12-02-2010 09:57 AM

What a great neighbor. Definatley a HERO!

Connie in CO 12-02-2010 10:24 AM

The neighbor came home today.I was just thinking,if Bobbie hadn't gone over when he did or hadn't bothered and they had found him dead.Bobbie wouldn't forgive himself.

mrspete 12-02-2010 11:03 AM

So sad, but thank god for your Son-in-law. I hate that there is so much sadness in the world; my only wish is that those who are sad can see the happiness as well. Thank you for sharing this story.

Your Bobby is truly a good person from the heart, police or no police - god put Bobbie where he needed him to be. Good wishes to you and your family, thats some Thanksgiving gift.

stitchofclass2 12-03-2010 06:01 AM

Oh, my! I believe in guardian angels and Bobbie is one.

fktsewing 12-03-2010 10:29 AM

Way to go Bobbie you are a hero to me just for paying attention---so many people don't. Said a prayer for your neighbor that he can get help he needs and that he protect your Bobbie and watch over him.

cindygale 12-03-2010 08:46 PM

God put your son-in-law in the right place at the right time.. :-D

Donna P 12-03-2010 09:15 PM

That is wonderful...thank god for his alertness. Is the man ok now?

gramabiese 12-03-2010 09:18 PM

I'd say your son was this man's angel. I bet his family is grateful. Poor man must have been mentally suffering from something. You can be very very proud of your son, I am!Hugs to him, that had to be hard.

TN Donna 12-03-2010 09:21 PM

So glad he was alert and got there in time. It could have been tragic. Thank him for me.

Dee 12-03-2010 09:57 PM

zzzGP 12-03-2010 10:44 PM

Oh My! I am so glad this ended well! God's blessing on both of them...

Quilt Mom 12-03-2010 11:33 PM

'Thank you' to your son in law for paying attention, and for caring. He truly is a hero for saving his neighbor.

auntiehenno 12-04-2010 01:16 AM

Thanks Bobby! christmas came early in your neighbor hood, and I do hope your neighbor gets some help. Bless you!

Mary Lou 12-04-2010 07:20 AM

One of my daughters is a great believer in Angels. She would say Bobby was his Angel.

KLO 12-04-2010 11:55 AM

I had a family member commit suicide. Wish Bobbie or someone like him had been near them. It's a terrible thing to happen in a family. One never really gets over it. And yes, Bobbie is a hero and a guardian angel too. You have every right to be proud of him.

marmalade 12-05-2010 08:27 AM

We need more Bobbie's in the world - people who pay attention to others and help them in their time of need. He is definitely in the right profession. You must be very, very proud of him. I am - just reading about his actions.

Dixieldy 12-20-2010 03:21 PM

aawww bless him Connie! That's awesome! I was just looking back over some post and came across this one I had not even had a chance to look at. What a miracle! So glad your son in law was there for him.
