Hi,

Wow, I am so tired of cold weather and snow living in Indiana. So today I am starting my spring cleaning in house and trying to get my crafts all organized. This will be a challenge! I am wondering if anyone else is going to start spring cleaning with me so we can have more time to quilt and make our crafts.

Come on and join in the fun. Also post your progress each day to get us up and motivated and if you have any cool ideas please share them with us.

Last fall I donated clothes to our local nursing home and they loved all of the clothes and shoes! What a nice idea and the office manager also sent me a thank you note.

I have more closets to sort thru so getting ready to donate more.

We need to get organized!!!!

I'm not spring cleaning, but I"m purging due to our upcoming move.
Not having alot of fun with it, but I'm almost done with all the rooms. Actually, bathroom cupboard needs to be done. Courtneys room and the rest of my sewing room.

Well, here is my take: I've gotten use to hair on my shoulder and chair. I'll get use to the threads everywhere else! snicker, you bet it is time. I started stackin last night when they said we are not out of the winter warnings yet, only today! I've got time, so me and my thread and hair will wait another day. Have fun.

Spring cleaning (groan)! I'm tired of snow and ice and we're supposed to get more tomorrow. Do you think if we do "spring" cleaning now, it'll help Spring get here earlier????

Yes, we are to get another big snow storm on Monday in Indiana, and I am sick of snow.

So I thought I would start spring cleaning now to hopefully the cold weather will go away.

My friend's hubby saw a robin in Indiana a few weeks ago so hope that is a sign of spring around the corner.

Ok, I see alot of readers but don't see anyone posting messages. Are you busy with your spring cleaning?

Hubby and I have started our spring cleaning. I am sorting thru some clothes to donate to my local nursing home as I gave them things last fall and they sure appreciated it. They also sent me a thank you card.

Hubby just swept the furnace filters (so we didn't have to buy new ones, and now they are clean again).

I am working in house today to do my organizing and also to get my craft stuff organzied. This way I can have more fun crafting instead of cleaning and looking for things.

Have a wonderful day! Happy Spring Cleaning! and please don't forget your sewing rooms and fabric!

Well, yesterday DD and I took another 10 bags to Goodwill. That made quite a dent.

However, I did go in and find 3 XXL men's shirts to wear in ceramics class so I don't get my good clothes dirty.

Still have a long way to go though. Will check out these links. Thanks.

Yes, I have started my spring cleaning, too! A couple of weeks ago, I reduced my stash of Christmas fabrics using Bonnie Hunter's method. I now have two neatly stacked piles and 3 small stackable containers with strips and squares. Last week, I got rid of a lot of things that I didn't use anymore. Now, I am going thru fabrics and neatly folding them and stacking them back on shelves, organizing by color/holiday as I go. So, when I get done with that, I'll figure out what to do next. Oh, and I keep finding fabric scraps to put in my pile of charity sewing for the new mothers.

I was just starting some de-cluttering prior to actually cleaning and organizing when our little flood got us. So, now everything is worse than before, and will be until this mess gets sorted out. We won't be able to put in new flooring until the landscape next door is fixed so it won't all drain back into our house the next time it rains. My plan that I was starting was by "earning" my computer time. If I did 15 minutes of cleaning, I could spend 15 minutes on the machine (or doing something else I chose). Then, when 15 minutes are up - back to work. Anyone can do something for 15 minutes.

I'm starting a week off and had plans to clean my sewing room. I'm going to haul everything out and restack fabrics. This is happening tomorrow. The rest of the house is fine. We're pretty decluttered. The curtains could use a wash--but I want to hang them on the line, so it'll have to wait.

I'm trying to clear out some things. My fiance is kind of a pack rat, so it's really me trying to get him to clear out some things! We need to make room for all the wedding presents we'll be getting in August.
