Iris are my favorite flower EVER. I love them. I have a brandy-colored one that I look forward to every year. They are still a buds, but they will be blooming soon - I'll post a picture. Also have a pink one that my son and jDIL bought me a few years back that is striking. Your yard is fabulous, and I'm jealous. How about you come to Colorado and completely redo my landscaping? :D
|
Beeeee you tee full! You can share those any time!
|
Thanks for sharing! The two greatest things about spring: NO SNOW and FLOWERS!! And, also being outside barefoot in the grass!
Thanks for showing your beauties to us! |
Awesome!! It looks danged cheerful! :D
|
Thanks for looking everyone and all the nice comments. It took me six years to put all this in. The hardscape and the vegatation. I have a seriously ill tree in the front yard I might have to remove. It is left to be seen if it will leaf out the rest of the way. :( The dang thing split into two last fall so hubby drilled holes through it and braced it up with bolts. (A landscape pro told hm to try it.)
It always is something out there. Hubby is putting in a drip system for me this weekend. There is mud and mess everywhere. Dang it!! That is why I couldn't show it more pics. The white and purple little flowers in the pot is verbenia. The other one is a iris. Not sure which one you meant, Ruth. Thanks again girls. I am glad you enjoyed them. |
Beautiful garden!!
How do you ever get any sewing/quilting done with that mountain view and all those pretty plants??? |
Beautiful. The purples are wonderful.
|
:D I really don't get alot of sewing / quilting done in the gardening season until it gets hot, then I hide out in the house. LoL!
Thanks little hud ... many of my spring flowers are pink, purple and white. |
All of your flowers are really pretty---but those Irises are to die for!!

|
Beautiful flowers. Iris is my favorite flower! What is the name of the white flowers in the first pic? I don't recognize them. Thanks, Pam

Hi pammie sue,
Those white flowers are candy tuft. They are a perennial plant that I started from seed five years ago. I really enjoy them, they are a very easy plant to care for. I just take scissors t it and chop it back when it gets too large. LoL! Thanks for asking about them. If you check at a garden center, they might have them already started in pots. I am not sure. |
Candytufts? I know that I have never seen them that full before! I'll check at our local nursery for some. Thanks, Pam
