Spring time
First day of Spring. Hope everyone enjoys the new season!
My daffodils are almost ready to bloom. Spring is here!
Yes! Finally! Daffodils are opening, next tulips. My magnolia tree is ready to pop open all those lovely flowers...then my favs...lilacs! Isn't it wonderful!
I'm looking forward to Spring! My favorite time of the year! I've got lots of bulbs coming up, lilacs budding, etc. And the little birds are here in bunches. :)
Our first major storm to start off the season with 78 mph winds. 68000 without power for about 20 hours and some still without. So happy I have a gas stove. We sustained little damage others not so fortunate. Just short note for those who understand the Blessed Virgin, One lady had a statue of her in her yard. A tree was uprooted and fell within a couple inches of the statue. Not one chip on the statue. No deaths associated with the storm.

Spring flowers here daffs on the road side. Trees turning green and best of all leggy lambs gambolling in the fields.
First day of spring and we get snow! No complaints, our winter has been an easy one. Only complaint is we had less snowed in days to snow!!! Happy Spring to all!
We got snow yesterday, at least an 1-2".
It covered everything, very pretty. It only hung around an hour or two. Totally gone. |
So nice to walk outside and see everything coming up green and the birds returning. My favorite time of year.
we got 6 inches of snow on the first day of Spring... I think my daffodils are now buried and confused. :p
It is March 22 and Mid and Southern Minnesota, from what the weatherman says, is going to be lambasted, possible 11" of snow. That is tonight and tomorrow and then Thursday, it'll be up in the 40's again. I have lilies, Daffy-dils up and they are on the southern side of the house, so, the snow will melt there first. Not too worried. I remember April 6, 1952 - snow storm......so us Minnesotans take this all in stride. I gotta get out today and get some food so I don't starve when the snow comes and we can't open our doors!!!!!!! Hasn't happened yet, but it is fun getting Klondike Bars, frozen waffles and now my latest - Tostito Rods and Almond Swiss cheese. Have some good days coming up. Get some sewing done and start Spring cleaning! Edie

Second day of spring brought 6 inches of snow to my part of Maine. I was not a happy camper having to shovel the driveway again :-(.
I got cheated this winter. Not one snow! Usually we get at least 2-3.
