St Nicholas Day coming soon

It isn't even Thanksgiving yet... But we do need to plan ahead don't we???
I found this on QB from last year - it is very neat!

Why not - teaches the kids to line up their shoes!
Any good ideas what to put in the shoes???

Also how about some music?

My Grandparents on my Father's side were German. We celebrated St Nichoulas Day every year. that was also my GG namesake also. Nothing fancy. Maybe a candy bar or a piece of fruit tucked in our shoe.

We celebrated St Nicholas Day every year as I grew up. We received a small bag with mixed nuts (in the shell) on the bottom and then usually an apple and an orange, topped off with a candy cane. These items were great treats for us and we savored them as long as we could. Good memories!!! Was surprised when I moved away after school and married. No one I knew had any idea what St Nicholas Day was. I sure missed that tradition.

Well my parents were both German, but we never celebrated St. Nicholas' Day, but of course we did celebrate Christmas. (My husband & I have a son and named him Nicholas).
