After 39 years the Stanley Cup comes home to Boston, MA. We celebrate many different ways! Here is a pic of the Make Way for Ducklings bronze statues in their best apparel. This sculpture by Nancy Schon, has been placed in the Boston Public Garden (1987) as a tribute to Robert McCloskey, author of the story, "Make Way for Ducklngs' - familiar to children throughout the world.
Way to go Bruins! :D |
We are coming to Vermont and then Boston next weekend I hope to be able to see the Cup when we are there. Do you know if they will advertise where the Cup will be
Ah, quit bragging!! (A Canucks fan)
Exciting games. My grandson is a hockey player. I've watched him play since he was 7 years old and I still don't have a clue what's going on. Congratulations to Boston!
I have been trying to send picture of 'ducks' having trouble - will try again. Sorry

Stanley Cup made its rounds of the North End on Thursday spending the evening in Quincy Market Restaurant. Friday morning on the Today Show in New York so you never know where it will show up. Each player has a chance to have it in his possession for at least a day. Enjoy Boston when you come. |

I was 13 the last time and was in Boston. Saw them then.

I'm a Penguin's fan, but I was rooting for the Bruin's throughout the Stanley Cup finals! Congrats on a great win to the players and the fans!! :-D :-D
I agree with 'Kitsie'....
It was a great series to watch...Love that it went 7 games. I honestly thought Vancouver was gonna win cause Boston looked kinda sluggish in the first few games, but they sure did kick but in the end. Way to go Bruins!!!!
Oh, I well remember when the Avs had it in Denver. What a thrill that was. What a goalie Patric Roy was. I always want to spell his name as it's pronounced...Waaaah. I am so old, I remember the days of Boom Boom Jeffreyon,(and I am sure that is spelled wrong).
Vancouver 8 goals in the series
Boston 23 goals in the series I'm an "enthusiastic" San Jose Sharks fan...and since Vancouver knocked them out in Round 3, I wasn't sad to see Roberto Luongo's ego take a hit. I watched Game 7 with my husband who was in the hospital recovering from a total hip replacement. |

Enjoy! |
I'm a Penguins fan, too! Boston earned the cup; enjoy the year with 'Stanley"!
Congrats to all the Bruins fans! What a great cup series this was - enjoyed it. Watched game 6 with my 84 year old mom and her 80 year old sister who was visiting - hockey fans come in all ages!!!
I apologize but I am having difficulty sending along my photo of the 'ducklings in Bruin attire! They are so cute! Right now the "Rolling Rally" parade through Boston from the TD Garden to Copley Square is happening! Thanks for all the
comments on our success and wish all sports fans the opportunity to cheer their teams to victory. |
WooHoo! Go B's, you are the best. What a great victory.
Enjoy!!! like we did last year...watch out for the Black Hawks next year!!
My Grand daughter is a goalie for Field Hockey and wouldn't miss seeing Tim Tomas play.I get very nervous during a game that my team plays so this was very nerve wracking to watch. My GD did a Victory lap around her house much to the dismay of my daughter. Exciting win
We Mavs fans are celebrating also! Congrats to the Bruins.
We had season tickets to the Bruins when they won the cup in '70 & '72. My hubby inherited them from his father. There was such excitement in the old Boston Garden. And hubby used to do ceramic tile and painting in the homes of a lot of the Bruins & Red Sox players. His hat was ordered from the website before the cup came to the ice Wed nite :-) It's wonderful to see 'nice guys' enjoy their win.
Many times I have been in the garen and seeen the Bruins play. What a thrill to watch them win the other nite. Bobby Orr was great when I was young. Now to the ducks and what a book that was. I had an old, old copy, but thru the years the words were wiped clean, beleive it or not. I bought my great great grandson one when he was born in Dec. Wish he could ride on the paddle boats. Boston is such a historic old town. Your ducks are beautiful my parents were bird and duck hunters many years ago. I grew up in Brunswick, Me. AQnd spent some time in Mass. Loved your Stanley Cup Tribute. emmy lou stevens
