Starbella scarves

Making these starbella scarves just curious how much too charge. Has anyone sold them? How much would anyone sell them for?

twilight 11-23-2012 07:27 PM

I have 2 friends making them One is selling hers for the church bazaar for $10. My other friend is selling her's for her self and is charging $25. I gave most of mine away to family and close friends. Usually charge 2x's the cost of yarn. Some charge more. Just what you think your time is worth, plus the cost of yarn. Good luck

They were $15 at a craft show last week. Are yours knitted or crocheted?

Here's a link to a page with a picture. It's a ruffly scarf knit with a speciality yarn that is made for scarves.

I would charge at least $20.00. The yarn costs $15.00 to $18.00 for one scarf.

They are pretty. My daughter crocheted a couple for herself to wear with her winter coat. I have seen them for $15 and $20 here for sale at craft shows.

Walmart has the sashay yarn for $2.97 and one scan will do a scarf.

Good to know! I bought a skein at Michaels for $3.99 yesterday, and they had Red Heart Sashay for the same price. I am making one right now from the Sashay "Shuffle", the beige/white one. It is beautiful. My hairdresser has a customer who crochets hers and sells them for $10. I am knitting mine, at least the first one...I'm going to try the crochet next. Anyone have a preference???

Thank you for posting all this wonderful information. I've been seeing these scarfs all over the place and really wanted to make a couple. Perfect info and the perfect time. Win-Win.

nstitches4u 11-25-2012 09:58 AM

Everybody and her sister must be making these scarves. I went to JoAnn, Michael's and Hobby Lobby. All were out of the yarn. I finally ordered it online from JoAnn. It took several hours. The website must have been swamped with orders. I spent about 6 hours trying to checkout last night. I could get everything into my cart, but every time I tried to checkout, I got a message saying that the website couldn't show me that page. They would sell a lot more if they would let you check out. lol I finally gave up around 11:30 p.m. and went to bed. I got up this morning and finally got the order checked out.

What size hook do you use for these?

roserips 11-25-2012 02:42 PM

That looks so easy I have a GD that I know would love to make those. Yes so what size hook was she using? Inquiring minds would like to know.

Rose_P 11-25-2012 07:01 PM

How long does it take you to make one?
