I'm so glad you asked this question. I have been thinking about getting one but had not talked to anyone that had them one. I have seen the ads on TV about the Shark and it sounded so good, so I think that's the one I will get.

I just bought the Shark vacuum and steam. Price $149.00 at Walmart. The vacuum worked well. I loved the steam. It made my ceramic tile floors shine. Remember the add about walking on the floor in white socks? It is true you can do it. No more regular mops and scrub brushes. Saves my knees:) Although the dogs sure didn't know what to make of the hissing sound.

I bought the Shark Steam and Vac. Used it about 6 times then it "blew out" the steam section. I found out that with the minerals in our water, you have to empty the water each time then steam for just a few seconds to clean out the ports or it will clog. I called Shark and they have three ways to fix the problem. #1, send the whole thing back (at your expense) with $9.95 (for return shipping) and they will fix or replace it and ship it back to you. #2, send the plug end of the cord plus a few inches, along with $19.95 and they will send you a new machine. #3, Send $39.95 with no parts and they will send you a new machine. I opted for #2. The vaccuum part is so loud that I think I would have preferred just the steam mop.

I have the Bissel steam mop and love it. It does a great job on laminate and tile. Wouldn't go back to a mop ever!
