I have to do this sorry...

My favorite team of all time and the best, in my opinion are yet again, GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!

Seven would be heaven!!!

Thanks for allowing me that!

leatheflea 01-24-2011 03:31 AM

DH loves the Steelers, he's from PA. Steelers fans are like no other, winning or not they pack the stands. I dont have a fav team, I just like a good game. This will be a good game. Packers will give the steelers a run for their money. Most didnt want the Packers to win because it would really challenge the steelers, for me thats what its all about.

I think the Steelers are up for any challenge! Definitely makes for a better game. Who wants a blowout? Boring!!! Fun, but boring.

sandyo 01-24-2011 03:56 AM

they better watch out the Packers are coming for them:)

candlequilter 01-24-2011 03:59 AM

Not real crazy about the Steelers ever since the Seahawks played them a couple years ago in the Super Bowl and the officials ruled everything for the Steelers and made some really bad calls that cost us the game.

Sorry,
Sherryl
Candlequilter

Go Packers!

Don't apologize! That's what makes it so interesting. Steeler fans feel there are plenty of bad calls on us also!

I am so totally sick of FB!!!! Soon to be followed by BB!!!!!

Midwestmary 01-24-2011 05:09 AM

Really enjoyed watching the games yesterday ... I think the match up for the Super Bowl is going to be a good one! Congrats to the Steelers and Packers - I expect a close game. And, as a lifelong Vikings fan, I get used to saying "There's always next year"!!!!

Hosta 01-24-2011 05:09 AM

My husband's cousin Chuck was head coach of the Steelers for many many years he would come to family reunions and bring a couple players my husband was young then and I wonder what happened to the pics they used to have of all that probably got passed to some relative somewhere anyway Chuck was a really nice guy didn't know he used to work fro the Browns too. Of course I hate football so it doens't matter to me

Uh....no.

;)

Actually....I ALWAYS feel bad for the team that lost...seeing their faces as the reality hits them just tugs at my heart... On the other hand, when the coach for the Jets had his little temper tantrum, ripped off his headset and threw it on the ground, I stopped feeling bad for HIM... ;)

And he dropped the "f" bomb! Read his lips loud and clear! Reminded me of a nine year old

I actually stopped sewing the binding to my quilt yesterday to watch the Green Bay Packers. Go PACK Go. They are a great team and should beat the Steelers. Superbowl bound.

amma 01-24-2011 10:55 AM

It will be a great game, I expect a close finish too :D:D:D

GO STEELERS!

Rody 01-24-2011 11:11 AM

I'm thrilled to find out that there are quilters who are Steelers fans. Watching football is when I iron prewashed fabric I've bought for quilts. I can't sit still so I might as well keep busy. I already told my hubby that for my birthday I want a small TV for my sewing room!

luvstitches 01-24-2011 11:32 AM

My DH is from central PA and always a Steelers fan. So in my house it's him, our son (19) and our daughter (25) against me, the Browns fan and always will be.
Now my grandson that I watch daily wears yellow and black!
Will be watching the Super Bowl and sewing at the same time just like I did last night during the game.
(I do love the rivalry)

plainpat 01-25-2011 02:34 AM

Love a good game & maybe this Super Bowl won't be a blow out.I like both teams, but GO STEELERS!

Ripped on Scotch 01-25-2011 03:35 AM

The steelers kicker actually played with my husband in highschool, so of course we are routing for them. He nominated the local highschool coach for an award last year & he was one of the final 5 choosen. It was really cool to see that. The NFL donated $ 5000 towards the schools athletic dept.

Some of those players are pretty cool.

plainpat 01-25-2011 03:55 AM

A lot of "Pro" players/coaches remind me of a 9yr old.The 9yr olds are more grown.They're more like a 2yr olds throwing a tantrum.:-(

What about hockey and basketball. I like hockey, but not basketball. What ever happened to Wide World of Sports on NBC on Sundays, years ago. The thrill of victory - the agony of de-feet!!!!!!!! (I know - defeat)! Now all it is is basketball and "To Be Announced". I don't even bother with them. If they can't tell me what is on, I'm not watching it - surprise or not!!!!!!

I'll watch Discovery on Cable. Edie

I'm a Steeler fan also, having lived in Pittsburgh twice! Of all of the places I've lived, that's my favorite city! The Steelers team has always been a team that is generous with it's time! I'll be a Mt. Lebanon gal all my life!

jlong 01-25-2011 04:20 PM

I am proudly a member of the Steeler nation. I love the Steelers. Whole family are Steeler fans.

Rusty's Mama 01-25-2011 06:23 PM

I now live in WA and love it, but no/no on the Seahawks. Steelers all the way!

cjsparks 01-25-2011 08:03 PM

Chuck Noll is your hubby's cousin? Way cool... he came across as a good guy to me when I met him in the 70's... My mom worked for an atty in Akron that had many many free agent players as clients (more than the Steelers) ... so as a pre-teen, I got to meet a lot of super players... My mom started the JL football camps here at the NE Ohio colleges... and got Jack to ride in charity poker runs, etc. Will never forget when my (at the time) boyfriend came over, and Jack Lambert was sitting in the livingroom eating pizza with us. To us, no biggie. To boyfriend: he practically stopped breathing.

Go STEELERS!!!
(BTW I am louder than most guys when my Steelers play! Neighbors are Browns fans, so I start trouble all the time...)

You know those flags you can buy at the hardware stores? Well, I got tired of the Browns flags around here... this is how I outdid the neighbors (my version of raising my voice)... :) I couldn't decide which design I liked best, so I did each side of the flag different... its made of nylon so its weatherproof, and has to have its own 10-foot conduit pole, as it snaps wooden poles when it fly's!

This ended up being approximately 4x8 feet... yes, feet!
