stock up time

I was at walmart this morning and overheard employees talking about making room for the school supplies that arrived I thought of the elmers school that some of us use so time to stock up I'm down to my last glue stick.I was at dollar tree last week and they were getting there supplies in,I'm going to stock up on the elmers washable school glue dual tip pen I really like the pen so much easier and less messy to put binding on one end is a thick application and the other end is a fine tip.just thought I pass it on:)

Yes - just before school starts Staples/Office Depot/other office supply stores have huge sales. I still have some glue left from last year that I paid a penny for!!!

I will start watching for items I can use. Thanks for the heads up.

I'll have to look for the dual-tip elmer's glue .... that one sounds intriguing.

Wow, I usually think of things to stock up on at different times through the year, but I dropped the ball on this one. Thank you for the heads up!

I stock up on school supplies during August too, and I've been out of school for a very long time. LOL

"Stock up on office supplies" is written at the top of the August page in my planner. I actually take inventory, make a list, then check the ads for sales. I usually find some very good sales at Walgreens. Thanks for the recommendation for the glue pen. Going to try that.

I buy my Elmer's by the gallon from Amazon.

Beware, glue sticks will harden if kept too long. Maybe store them in ziploc baggies?

I have been using Elmer's for piecing, never thought of such a thing until I read it on the board. It is so much easier to just sit at my desk in my sewing room and drop a dab of glue on my fabric, let it dry overnight and then sew. I can do my marking really easy because there are no pins. I am making what they call 'folded corners' on 672 corners of fabric for my grandson's fiance shower gift. I just told my DH the other day that when Walmart starts selling the glue, I am going to get in line. Thanks for reminding others.
