When our girls were in college they always got (and still do) lottery tickets. Christmas socks, nail polish and chapstick, new eyebrow tweezers, microwave popcorn.
Check the drug store...they always have neat little things.
Our problem was I made big stockings when they were little because they always got markers and crayons and bigger (cheap) items.
Now I have a hard time filling them. The good thing is the daughter's now gets filled for her whole family.
It's always fun to watch them open their stocking stuffers first.

Thank you for that soup recipe trupeach1. I will definitely include that!!
And to the rest of you... thanks for all the great ideas. This has been so much fun. I am so happy that I found this forum, I am having the best time here!

Oh...and about the thermos... my daughter loves those thermal cups that they have in all the stores now. You can usually get them for $5.

And today... I won a Rowan University rain jacket on Ebay for $1.25!! It will cost an additional $5 for shipping... but hey... they said it's in EXCELLENT condition... how could I beat that. That is where my daughter goes to college and she was complaining about being drenched in this last big rain storm! Woohoo!! Think I can roll it up tight enough to fit in a stocking!! haha!!!

I think you're going to have to make some new exta large socks. I've enjoyed all the ideas from everyone also.

If you want the recipe let me know I will post it. you could include a mug in the stocking, it makes a nice stocking stuffer.

I would love to have the recipe, that is such a great idea!
Thank you for posting it trupeach!

Just how big are those stockings???? Speaking of cutting back, I always got my boys underwear for Christmas. The first year they were on the own I "cut back" figuring they could buy their own, right? Boy did I hear about it  I haven't forgotten again and it's been at least 20 years! They still want them!
