this world...it's not even just quilts. Our pastor's truck was broken into..flat screen tv for our children's ministry, equipment for our church and his prayer journal all stolen. hopefully whomever stole everything read he prayer journal and realizes how awful their actions were and eventually repent...

How sad. Hopefully she will be able to recover it.

I was told that it is a good idea to make the quilt label a part of the quilt and to quilt over the label too, so it cant be removed. This is so sad.

I shipped a quilt in November by UPS and was told that it could not be insured as it didn't have any value. It was considered homemade crafts where a value could not be determined so therefore had no value. The man that took my package went into a long spiel about how he knows this quilt is invaluable to me but of no value to them.

So sorry for this lady to have this happen, it' like losing a part of you. Hope she gets it back, but somehow I doubt it. These people who do this kind of thing have no conscience.

I hate the way UPS and FedEX just leave a package on the porch. Why don't they leave an undeliverable slip instead. Most people would rather go to the trouble of going to the shipper and picking up their box than have it stolen. Just my opinion. Sorry for all the lost quilts and the hard working quilters who made them.

I get that news letter too and read about it yesterday...how sad is it that these things happen. I think we will be reading and hearing about it happening more often with the economy the way it is, some will do anything to make a few dollars, stealing and reselling.
