Strawberry Shortcake has left the building
 

i am beyond the moon with how this turned out!
it's not quilting/piecing... but i learned so much making this little project!

she's lined and has no exposed seams, not even on the inside!
the next time i make one of these, i will make the zipper tab bigger (i misread the instructions) and the handle narrower (using the softer interfacing).

but all in all, she's a beaut!
i especially loved that her new mommy is a quilter-knitter-runner, like me... and when she opened her gift, she undid the zipper and checked out the inside and loved what she saw. it's wonderful when someone who knows more than you appreciates a job well done.

i'm really getting the hang of this sewing business!

next project, back to quilting... i have a new baby boy in the family who needs a hand made gift!

Too cute! Not to worry about zipper tab cause children have smaller fingers so that wouldn't bother them!! Looks better than what you can buy at WW!

I especially like how you matched the Strawberry Shortcake and other points on each side of the zipper. I'm a stickler for that and think it really looks professional and classy.
