Good morning, May 17th. It was a wet, wet, slushy trip to work this morning.....AFTER I returned home for mr. chainsaw to come clear a tree that had fallen across the road blocking my way a mere 3 km from home.
I really didn't think I'd need snow tires in May. Actually it's illegal to run studded tires past the end of April so mine had to come off. |
oh no that bad word again "SNoW

Looks like Colorado!!

This weathers all wacky nothing in between it seems, I've had to crawl back thru a window to get the keys before, or stop to get a tire changed... know have never had to run home to get the chain saw (you Go Girl) :)

Its been quite a winter, alright! Chain saw to get to work - had to laugh! Thats a real example of the flexability needed to survive in the north woods.
What do you teach - saw that in your profile. One fall while my hubby was deep in the mountains hunting for 4 days/nights, a windstorm took out a 60 foot fir tree in our meadow - not so bad, except it landed across our electric fence & opened a new "exit" for the horses. I had to use the chain saw to cut the tree trunk & branches in order to repair the fence - that job couldn't wait for hubby to return - horses may have been into the next county by then. The tree provided many hours of warmth from our woodstove after it was sufficiently dried to use for firewood. :) BTW, looks like you also live out in the woods - just farther north than we are. Where in BC are you? We have friends in southern BC & Manitoba. |
Here in central Alabama it was high 80's last week, then it rained and the temp dropped and it is downright cold again. Think weather changed because I put away sweats and coats for the summer so it is my fault.

That is just so wrong. What's up with our funky weather this year?
