I am watching super nanny and appauled..why on earth do people have children after children when they how no clue how to act like humans...beat , scream...hot sauce...(OMG) like to see someone do that to them...some of these people should be jailed...What type of children are they raising..to be adults...they are raising children...animals are treated better....those children will grow up and remember...they will never forget the terror they grew up with...what comes around goes around...

About a month ago I saw one of Dr. Phil's shows. There was this mother that did the hot sauce thing to her 6 yr old son. OMG!!! That poor child! She should have been locked up for child abuse!

I totally agree...and those poor kids...three, seven...come on...Hot sauce. If they can not handle kids...why on earth do they keep having more...I think people forget that those kids become adults...and those kids do not forget. So beware child abusers...

Maybe she will be able to help them a little...

I always think it's ironic that parents who act crazy like this have kids who are the worst behaved. There's also the other extreme of parents who think if they're just nice enough to their kids, the kids will like them enough to behave. They just end up getting walked on by their kids.

My mom didn't beat me, and she wasn't my friend. But she could completely change my course of action just by giving me "THE LOOK."

Sooo... agree...the I do nothing parents amaze me also. Love the ones in stores, libraries, middle of roads...that just let them run wild. What happen to just normal respectful children and adults? Its not that hard to teach respect with out beatings, screaming and hot sauce...I also think that many of the shows on TV are not ones kids should watch. Some are just unreal...even cartoons.

I work as a psychologist in family court and see the parents in cases like these...I almost didn't read the thread as it is so depressing. I like to come here (and quilt) to escape--or as I often phrase it, to stay sane

Well I used hot sauce on my kids. One more than the other 2 because the other 2 got it quite quickly......the oldest, he's a slow learner still is at age 20 (almost 21) but he was not gonna smart mouth me, lie to me or do any other offense with his mouth towards me. I would not use soap - that is dangerous but hot sauce, hot sauce is made to go in the mouth and a tad bit of it on the tip of a tongue is not going to hurt a child. What's wrong with kids today is parents are not allowed to discipline without out threat of CPS or the police being called. I'm not talking child abuse. My kids know that wasn't abusive and they learned AND guess what after a time or two all I had to do was to threaten to get the hot sauce and their mouths and attitudes were straightened up right quickly.

I'm sure you all raised perfect kids that never talked backed or lied to you at some point? Good for you if that's the case!
