Glad your surgery went well. Hope you are home soon and back to sewing soon too.

This is a painful surgury, dh had it done. It will take a while but it will be worth it.

I've been through it with both knees so I understand pain and swelling. Although it takes a little bit of time it is well worth it. (Has been for me anyway.) I'm facing shoulder replacement surgery in a few months and I'm definitely not looking forward to that. Good luck in your recovery!
