It's as good as her first cd. The song Do You Hear What I Hear is so beautiful as well as Oh Holy Night. The cd is very comforting to listen to. My favorite is her singing Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah.

Conniequilts 11-30-2010 07:09 AM

I am so glad to hear this as I was thinking about getting it. I will be getting it this weekend.

Thank you :)

lauriejo 11-30-2010 07:17 AM

Thank you for posting this, I was looking at it the other day but wasn't sure.

BellaBoo 11-30-2010 07:21 AM

...Susan’s latest album, ‘The Gift’ reached the top of the charts on either side of the Atlantic and made her the first solo artist ever to have reached that level, beating great legends like Madonna and Elvis Presley too, in the process...

Not much media about her success and her songs are not being played on the radio here much if any at all.

Go Susan!!!

I agree...it has played over and over in my van and I've only had it a week. Also love her version of Hallelujah!

littlehud 11-30-2010 07:54 AM

I'm glad to hear it's great. I wanted to get if for my dad. All of us just love listening to her.

maryb119 11-30-2010 08:16 AM

Susan Boyle can sing anything and it sound beautiful! She has a fantastic voice.

Momma_K 11-30-2010 08:36 AM

Ahhhh smooth as an Angels voice! She's came a very long way...I hope she keeps on going. I also love Celine Dion too but to me I think Susan is pretty much equal. I heard her singing one day and thought for sure it was Celine!

akrogirl 11-30-2010 09:02 AM

Thank you so much for the review. I just had to go back and re-watch her video of "I Have a Dream". I love her voice and her first album. I will definitely be getting the new one.

sewmuchmore 11-30-2010 10:28 AM

Well, of course it hasn't been played much here in the US. She's not a druggie, she's not had 50 "boy friends" before she was 20 years old, she's not a cute little thing that shows off her surgically enhanced bod in a postage stamp and two strings, she hasn't been arrested for drunk or drugged driving accidents, so of course
she's not news worthy here.

But boy, can that lady SING!! I absolutely love her clear, true voice.

Juliebelle 11-30-2010 11:49 AM

I just got that and am wearing it out in my car love her

ann clare 11-30-2010 12:08 PM

My all time favorite is Susan singing I have a dream.

NikkiLu 11-30-2010 12:42 PM

She was on some morning show today singing - I am almost positive that she will be on NBC tonight when they light their tree in New York City.

auntmag 11-30-2010 01:11 PM

Thanks. I did not know she had a new CD. She has such an amazing voice.

BellaBoo 11-30-2010 01:15 PM

She has written a book about her life. I haven't read it but I heard growing up she was bullied and made fun of by other kids. For her to find the courage to go to the tv talent show took an all or nothing effort.

Boy Howdy you got that right!! I'm glad and proud of her for being the way she is...

Buy it! I love it. She has a beautiful voice. I have both of her CDs.

I also bought little Jackie Evancho's CD. She is one talented little girl!

sosewcrazy 12-01-2010 06:27 PM

I agree with you. "Do You Hear..." is one of my favorites, but I've never had it on an album. Love her version.

I've got ,"The Gift" in my CD player right now, I've just about worn it out from playing it so much. :-D She sings
so well its just amazing. I'm so happy she was given the chance to make 2 CDs, am hoping that there are many more to come.
When I saw her audition on "Britain's Got Talent" it was fun to watch the expressions when she stepped on stage.
They'd all assumed she was going to be awful and then she
SANG! They all were flabberghasted!

adrianlee 12-01-2010 08:38 PM

I'm a big fan of Susan too. Just a beautiful voice and an amazing lady. Little Jackie Evancho is so talented too.

Dee 12-01-2010 09:51 PM

Susan is the best singer I have ever heard. Every time I hear her, I sit in awe. What talent.

Larue Bonnoni 12-02-2010 01:13 PM

She was on The View this week and started to sing O Holy Night and got a frog in her throat and she stopped the band from playing. Whoopie started to talk to her and Susan was all chocked up. I plan on getting her CD as she has an amazing voice.

Suz 12-02-2010 02:22 PM

And do you all remember the surprised look on Simon Cowell's face when she started to sing at her audition? God has truly blessed her with a magnificant voice and now she is getting the last laugh. Sing on Susan!!!

Suzanne

I recall that look of shock on Simon's face! It was priceless!
I do hope she keeps singing. I love listening to her.

BMP 12-02-2010 03:55 PM

I could listen to her all day, a real true singing voice.

patchsamkim 12-02-2010 04:05 PM
