t shirt transfer --help
I have been trying to do some t shirt transfers with a hot iron with no luck. I bought the transfer paper, mirror imaged my computer and copied it onto the paper, ironed onto t shirt- cannot get the top paper to peel off and when it does come off it takes part of the design with it. What am I doing wrong? Any advise would be appreciated.

You may not be doing anything wrong...this happened to me on time....found out it was OLD...and after awhile they don't work the way they should. If you've had the transfer paper or transfers for a long time...throw it out. That may be it......sorry1

I have never used it so can't offer any advice, sorry.

Make sure your iron is hot enough. Make sure the transfer cools completely before peeling off.

I rarely do actual T shirts. I have done transfers with a couple of different brands. Some work really well, some not at all well, although they were brands I usually trust. These days, I prepare my (print for quilts) fabrics using Bubble Jet and print with my HP printer. I greatly prefer the results. I iron the prepared fabric onto 9x11 1/2" freezer paper, trim it to 8.5x11 and run it through my printer. I prefer to use Moda muslin, although several friends prefer Kona. Oddly enough, white 'duck' does really well too. Many years ago, I bought a huge amount of superb handkerchief linen (under 10 cents a yard, so I bought all I could!) It takes the print dyes really well too.
