Well I am just tickled pink with my Mid TN property taxes now!!

Because of a land management act that we have I applied and set up a timber management plan and my taxes dropped from $1500 a year to $435 a year!

I wasnt going to cut any trees anyway but if it saves a buck why not do it!!! If you live in a rural are you should call the county and see if they offer something like that for your area.

The goverment needs to close the doors on illegal immigrants, especially those who come into our country and give birth, then the baby automatically becomes a citizen. It is important that you write to your congresspeople all the time. I am appalled at the automatic raises that congress gets along with health coverage, perks, retirement, etc., which is covered by our high taxes along with government workers. Our government is growing too much and small businesses are suffering and laying off people. How are people going to afford health coverage? Yes this is a good country with good people, but the government likes to do our thinking. They think that they know what is good for us. They are so removed from the communities.

In Kansas, we have property taxes yearly on our home plus yearly property taxes on the vehicles. Every year, we pay property taxes on the cars no matter their age. If it's registered, they will tax it. So we pay about $600/yr , every year, to register out vehicles. Gotta love it. :(
