Textile Mill workers removing impurities from raw cotton

Sharing a photo I took of textile mill workers manually removing impurities from bales of cotton. This is a textile mill in Rawalpindi Pakistan which makes high quality bedding for export to hotels, interesting tour. Most of the cotton is coming from India.

isnt that what the cotton gin was invented for? So it seems there are still forms of slavery present in this world......
