Dear Quilting Buddies, It is Memorial Day weekend. Time to say thanks to all of you that have served in the military or have family that have served. The ones that stay behind at home also serve!

Thank you for thinking of us.

And I want to say a "Thank You" for all of you out there too that are serving or have loved ones serving our country!!!

It has been my honor, my husband's honor, AND my oldest son's homor to have served. FREEDOM comes at a cost and my husband pays that price everyday he wakes up ... he is 80% disabled becuase of his service. It will be my youngest son's honor to serve in another 3 years when he graduates from high school.

We do it because that is the way that God made us ... not for accolades and rewards.

I appreciate more now the time I served in the Navy than I did when I was in. I would not change being in the Navy for anything I have done since. God Bless all those that served and serving this nation.

CarrieAnne 05-31-2010 04:23 AM

Yes, Thank you!

MissM 05-31-2010 04:26 AM

This is the best way we can say thank you to our men and women in the military.
