:thumbup: My DD and 16 yo DGS were over today and very helpful. GS cut up a lot of tree branches and hauled them to the curb for pickup. DD organzed my stash. A lot of it was already in plastic boxes, but a lot from more recent projects needed to be organized and put away. She went through, put away and told me I need several more storage boxes. I went to the store, got them and now have everything put away. It's a great feeling.

She quilts more than I do and I think she has a large stash. On her way out the door, she said she thinks my stash is bigger than hers and when she inherits mine, she'll have to figure out how to combine them and where she'll have room to put it all. :)

It's nice to have family that works together like yours does!

I'm hoping my nephew (now 10) will claim my stash - he's interested now, but who knows what will happen in the future?

But I think I'll be around for another 20+ or so years, so there's no rush for him (or anyone else) to collect it. The main thing is that someone who will use it gets it.

I had help over the weekend with hauling branches and sticks. Wilbur is 3. His momma raises goats. Just have to keep perspective you know. He throws sticks right where I want them. All of a sudden I hear, "Grandma, that stick has HORNS."

I hope she isn't in a big hurry. Unfortunately, I just recently inherited my mother's (and my) stash (lost her in July). We quilted together for over 5 years and when I first started out all of the fabric was left at her house because that's where I sewed in case I needed help. My sister and I moved 18 banana boxes (only out of one cabinet) to my house not too long ago. I moved in October and still needed to unpack my fabric. So I recently spent 2 days unpacking and shelving fabric and still didn't finish. I then had a friend come over and she hauled away 4 boxes of fabric and I have 4 more packed to take to one of our quilting groups. When I look at all the fabric I sometimes think that there is such a thing as too much fabric. But then I go to work (at a well known fabric/craft store) and I bring home something at least once a week. LOL!!!! And I still need to get the rest of the stuff moved from my mother's and find a place for it. I think it's a never ending thing.
