I agree, as you grow wiser (older) you realize all that is just not worth the time. The time I have left will not be filled with miserable people.

um, bring them some plates of cookies or donuts -
anyway surprise them with something nice!

What you are trying to do is change the atmosphere...
If you can't then maybe
you should try to change jobs?

So true.

I'll try to remember that! ;-)

Thanks for this saying. Just printed it out and it is going in my sewing room today where i can see the words everyday. Family can be so cruel and hurtful - mine has been since greed took over their emotions and they turned my 92 year old mother against me for her money - but this will be a constant reminder to me to be happy. God bless you.

I was thinking about friendships the other day and decided that if you have to work at a friendship than you never had one.

May all your tomorrows each be an invitation to love life!

So true, I don't know if I could do it. I hate living with regrets so I am not sure what I would do. Here is a saying that I keep at my desk;
I have to live with myself an so,
I want to be fit for myself to know.
I want to be able as days go by
Always to look myself straight in the eye.
I don't want to stand with the setting sun,
And hate myself for the things I've done.
I don't want to keep on a closet shelf
A lot of secrets about myself.
And fool myself as I come and go,
Into thinking that nobody else will know.
I can never hide from me,
I see what other may never see.
I know what others may never know,
I never can fool myself and so;
Whatever happens, I want to be,
Self Respecting and conscience free.

I didn't write it but I sure like it.

I haven't been talking to my Step Dad and I am not sure if it's the right thing to do. But sometimes just to be accepted it's easier to just stay away.

That's some good advice not many subscribe to! Most people don't like hearing the real truth, but that's just what it is! I'm so glad I am not a drama queen like so many others I've known, and yes I too have grown up and subscribed to the adage long ago! Life is simply too short to get caught up in the thick of the drama, and another minute spent doing so is another one lost towards living the life - the happy one we each deserve!

Explosive blessings, abundance and inspiration to you all!
