A group of us started Aunt Sylvia's last year. We did a bunch of blocks. Each block's instructions came from a different person. Some are not correct and some are difficult to follow. Sooo a newbee like me lost interest quickly....Good Luck

Thank you for this post. The quote says it for me. WHY, can I not get started. I buy books, material, etc. Love this Message Board. It is as if I am afraid to start. WHY!! WHY!! I really do want to make quilts - at least piece the tops.

Hmm...me too! Have magazines, read this board, look at patterns, have much fabric, tell everyone I'm a quilter - but ... why is it so hard to go to my room and start???

I can't finish my lybrith quilt till I get the snowflake quilt off the LA, but have to send the pro-stitcher in for a check cuz it keeps freezing up on me. And oh yea then I need to finish a sweater I've started, and so on

I guess we're all alot alike!

I've been in a rut too lately, wanting to sew but could not get motivated. One evening while on this forum, I saw someone post a pattern for a "Bread Warmer", to cover rolls, etc. I decided that I would make some to give to our president of our Quilt Guild to use as door prizes at our Christmas luncheon in November. I'm really enjoying making them and they will cost me nothing but my time, as I have lots of fabric.
