I got my first seed catalog already. Maybe that's where I'm suppose to spend my christmas money. Nah..sewing comes before gardening. Maybe some of those novelty fabrics with veggies and fruit. What do you think?

I am collecting the fruits and veggies - looking at them does brighten my day.

well, I have some of those garden things on fabric...so...between gardening and fabric?
um...hmm...it still comes up fabric for me...gardening around here, has to be done in pots.
I don't have much time to be outside messing and gauming, when my fabrics are calling, but I love to look at other ppl's garden pics...hint, hint, hint. :-D

When I went to the Ricky Timas seminar in Glenns Falls, NY, all the stores in town were decorated with quilts and had huge signs to welcome the quilters. Even a banner at each entrance of town. My favorite was a restaurant that had the windows decorated with quilts made only with fruit and vegetables fabrics, even one small quilt with pie fabrics. The bank had quilts with money and the post office with stamps fabrics. It was very well organized by the town.

Don't you just LOVE that seed catalogues arrive in the dead of winter?
My first one arrived a couple of weeks ago and is already well-thumbed. Last year I thought I would buy seeds locally but discovered that wasn't an option and went without things. This year, my order will be going in for sure.
Looking through the catalogue makes me think about all those things in my garden hopefully surviving under the snow (like rhubarb and asparagus) and really does bring hopes of spring!
