I got 20, but I consider it 21. My supposedly wrong answer to the fan question is actually correct. After it said fans go clockwise I got up and verified that the ceiling fan right over my head does indeed go counter-clockwise. The blades tilt down on the right. (It has a reverse, but I assume they wouldn't count that.) We have 4 ceiling fans, various brands, and they all go counter-clockwise. The test is wrong on that one or it's a bad question. Though other types of fans go clockwise and their blades tilt forward on the left (if viewed on end), ceiling fans are much more common these days. I think everyone else who got that one "wrong" should take another point. But the ones who got it right are also right.

I got the drain question "correct", but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that it's a myth, and other factors than hemisphere determine which way the water flows.

It does not surprise me to see that quilters are smarter than average. (And the ones who only got 5 or 6 are smart enough not to post their scores - LOL!)

Aha! http://www.snopes.com/science/coriolis.asp If you got the drain question "wrong" give yourself another point.

I only scored a 20, missed the others and should have answered them correctly, but not really thinking. Thanks Ditter, I love little tests like this. Makes me keep thinking and not becoming so stagnant.
