I have downloaded the pattern of thinking outside the box and read it real good and for the life of me I still cannot figure out how the panels go togeather???? I wish someone would do a tute on this so that I can see how they go togeather. I must be real dumb :?:

since this is a purchased pattern I doubt you'll find a tute but try this

I think they are 1/2 log cabin blocks. Instead of starting with a square in the center, the square is on the corner.

Start by sewing the two squares on the bottom right(of picture on thread) together, then add the next piece, to the left then the top of those three, left, top, left, top... then work your way to the top, one strip at a time. Does this help?

I know how to make the squares I just don't know how to put them togeather so that they look like they are on top of one . another. I guess what I am trying to say is I don't know how to do the layout. sorry to be such a pain.

they are not on top of one another. it just looks that way. look at photos of those quilts and print one out if necessary. then start laying out your blocks like the photo and you will have it! then sew rows and you are done.
