I share my sewing room with my 4 cats and use batting scraps to pick up the fine hairs they shed almost daily. Strictly inside cats. I also sweep their floor with it, batting scraps work much better than swifer pads.
I sew the large scraps together, by hand with a big zigzag stitch to use for quilt batting, use other sizes to make a batting big enough for the quilt.

I fill a pillow case with batting and fabric scraps, quilt it by hand (large stiches) and I send it to the animal shelter.

The extremely small pieces of batting can be used to stuff pillows. I also use batting scraps for mug rugs and small things like that.

I have used smaller pieces of batting to wrap and protect small Christmas ornament...or anything that is fragile.

Dampen a scrap of batting with rubbing alcohol and use it to clean the wheels and tracks of my longarm quilt machine. It cleans off the gunk and alcohol dries really fast with no residu. The people at HQ condoned alcohol to clean the wheels.

I place them in a box and save them for the inside of: Hot pads, mug rugs, placemats and pin cushions. I also zig zag them for any number of projets. Nothing gets wasted. GiGi

I had no idea the scraps had so many possible uses. I'd was saving them out of habit. You got me thinking!!

I use them to clean my FW. I have also heard of using them as a thread catcher.

The poly bat can be used to clean the window blinds also.
