I forgot,is it worth it to sign-up some where to get one free embroidery design

It's a opal colored paper plus other colors. You lay it on where your going to embroidery and it shows up threw the stitching.

Connie, I am not familiar with this......can you give me some more details.

fidgety 10-18-2011 08:15 AM

I have not tried it yet but I have looked at it several times.. Are you looking at them at charmingstation.com?

I have read that you can do the same thing with saran wrap only you cannot wash it...

thats great.... now is there a difference between mylar designs and just plain ole designs besides putting the mylar in them? is the density of the design greater or smaller? if you try it let me know how it goes.

SmickChick 10-18-2011 08:34 AM

I've sampled doing it, and will definately use the technique for my ice fishing quilt--mylar and silk organza- definately not traditional!!!

Heirloomsbysharon is who I bought mine from. I did some Easter eggs designs a few years ago. It turns out very pretty. I did lace looking designs in side the egg. I don't have pictures. I was told you can use the irridesent wrap you find at the Dollar store. But don't use a hot iron and make sure to use a pressing cloth.

Connie in CO 10-18-2011 09:00 AM

Sorry i for got to say the embroidery design doesn't have the density as the regular embroidery.

gigi10 10-18-2011 09:18 AM
