It's a opal colored paper plus other colors.You lay it on where your going to embroidery and it shows up threw the stitching.

I have not tried it yet but I have looked at it several times.. Are you looking at them at charmingstation.com?
I have read that you can do the same thing with saran wrap only you cannot wash it... |

I have a friend next door,she washed and dried it and came out fine.

I've sampled doing it, and will definately use the technique for my ice fishing quilt--mylar and silk organza- definately not traditional!!!

Heirloomsbysharon is who I bought mine from. I did some Easter eggs designs a few years ago. It turns out very pretty. I did lace looking designs in side the egg. I don't have pictures. I was told you can use the irridesent wrap you find at the Dollar store. But don't use a hot iron and make sure to use a pressing cloth.

I found what i was kinda looking for at Michael's I don't know if it's the same stuff or not,but I'm going to try it.

Sorry i for got to say the embroidery design doesn't have the density as the regular embroidery.

Now i am wiser. this is for machine embroidry.
