How about Hot Pants and mini skirts, and maxi skirts. I remember they came out with a coat and skirts that you could wear maxi (to ankles) but if the notion struck you, you reached down and unzipped the bottom part of your coat or skirt and voila! Short!

I remember Cassius Clay, before he became Mohamad Ali.

does anyone recall granny dresses with the high collars?

I had to wear saddle oxfords shoes when I was in high school as part of our school uniform. I went to a Catholic
school and our uniform was a long sleeved white blouse with french cuffs& cuff links and a below the knee length
blue and white(tiny print) houndstooth check skirt with a
kick pleat in the back. When I became a Junior, I could wear a dark grey skirt rather than the above mentioned skirt. To this day I refuse to wear anything with houndstooth check.!!!

I remember getting my hand stuck in the wringer...had an emergency stop bar or something. I was very young...but I sure remember it!

I recall my Mom telling me that happened to her.

What a wonderful trip down memory lane! I had forgot about the TV stations going off the air at midnight. Those were the days!
