Today is my 42nd anniversary!

Today is my 42nd anniversary, married to the same man all that time!! I can't believe it has been that long but yet it seems like I've been married forever. There were times when I thought we'd never make it this long, and there were many times when I wanted to just pinch his thick head right off. But there have also been many many times when I wouldn't trade him for the world. I guess I'll keep him a while longer. I mean, after all, I certainly don't want to start all over trying to train a new husband!

One thing is making me feel old though. In the small company I work for, I just realized that I have been married longer than all of our other employees have been alive, except for the General Manager. Talk about feeling ancient!

Congratulations to both of you.
End of Dec. we will be married 55 Years. We have worked together in a business for 29 of those years.

Congratulations!

I do know what you mean about some days being better than others! And it's way too much effort to try to catch and train a new husband!

Some days "liking" my DH was a stretch - and for him to "like" me was, too!

Happy Anniversary!

Congratulations!

I understand about the age with co-workers.... I, too, am usually the oldest person in the room. But when you consider the other alternative, I'll take being the oldest in the room. ;-)

Congratulations! Totally agree with your assessment - next month my DH and I will celebrate 43 years. Some days he is lucky to be alive and other days I know I couldn't do without him. The good days always outweigh the bad and I wouldn't trade him for anything.

Congratulations! We just celebrated 40, and I've had the same feelings you've expressed! In some ways it seems it's been a long long time, but other ways it's going by so fast. I'm so grateful we're in a really good place now. I wish you 42 more!
