Both of mine had multiple ear surgeries and finally adenoids removed - were definitely up and around by day 3 and raring to go. Hope your DGS does well and heals quickly from surgery!

I'd say very good unless there are other health problems. Kids bounce back real fast.

Glad he's young. I was 17 when I had mine out and it was awful!!

I was 16. Little kids were running up and down the hospital halls and I was still coming out of the doping stuff. (Can't spell anasthesia/aneasthezia/??). My son (this boy's father) was the same age and I remember a rough day or two, but don't remember after that. For a full year he would ask about sounds he heard - sounds he had not heard before - like crickets and the icemaker turning on - and was amazed by smells he'd never smelled. I'm hoping for such wonders for this little one.
