3 tornadoes here in Maine yesterday afternoon and last night...that is wild!! Definitely been a strange July with the heat wave and now this.

That is crazy. Can't say I have ever heard of tornadoes in Maine. I hope they weren't near you?

Wow, the weather this year has been terrible.

Tornados are no fun, a little out of the ordinary for you area isn't it ? We've had heat advisories followed by storms, yesterday my broadband antenna on the house was struck by lighting, yuck. Hope no one was hurt and everyone was able to stay safe. Like everyone who has commented has said weather has been strange this year we all need to keep our eye on the sky and stay aware. Stay safe.

I hate tornadoes so badly that I live in Idaho. I moved here from Montana, no tornadoes there, but is sure is cold in the winter! LOL!!! You take care and watch out for those big winds!

I live in Illinois and know EXACTLY what you're talking about. We're smack dab in the middle of what's known as "Tornado Alley" but fortunately haven't seen too many this year.

I hope everything is OK over there!! This has definitely been a different kind of summer, weather wise. About 1-2 miles down the road 2 days ago had such a severe storm come through that trees were down all over the place. Across drives, on houses, roads closed etc. Hubby had a devil of a time going to work.

Tornadoes in New England are defintely rare or, they used to be! What we've been getting in NH is a lot of micro-bursts which are, according to Wikapedia "are downbursts less than 2.5 miles in diameter A downburst is a strong downdraft which includes an outburst of potentially damaging winds on or near the ground."

A lot of trees have been lost. Not fun.

There have been tornadoes in every state and in every month of the year at one time or another.
